The article "A blizzard of prescriptions' : documents reveal new details about Purdue's marketing of Oxytocin"was very interesting. It is always a shock to me that some of these pharmaceuticals and doctors sell or over prescribe pain killers. It amazed me how many years this "blizzard" was going on for. Also Sackler and his company Purdue Pharma were giving addictive medications to their prescribers and patients. I was surprised on the amount of money Purdue was putting into these hospitals and programs and how much opioids were being sold. I was also bothered with Purdue even being allowed to touch on education of pain and what you "need" for it. A Purdue sales manager had even wrote to a company official about promoting of the opioids to an illegal pill mill because there was improper prescribing to government officials which was basically a "drug ring" and nothing was done about it. Overall reading this article had me shocked and unhappy but it was very informational because people who are suppose to be helping us with our health are actually the ones who are apart of the whole opioid epidemic going on today.
