Lincubator Mission
The mission of the Lincubator is to support small business development of Lincoln University Students as well as small businesses and projects with high growth potential, stimulate innovation in areas of technology and entertainment business, and explore research opportunities for developing sectors and industries for Lincoln University students, faculty, staff, and community members. The Lincubator will also serve as an avenue for job creation, workshops/certificates and external partnerships with prominent businesses and organizations both domestic and international.

Lincubator Goals and Objectives

To foster networking connections with the Lincoln University community and Lincubates.

To speed up the growth and success of startups and early-stage companies.

To offer student entrepreneurs paths to capital from angel investors, state governments, economic development coalitions and other investors.

To provide potential capital to invest, or links to potential funding sources.

To provide entrepreneurs with access to services such as accountants and lawyers, invaluable coaching.
The Lincubator encompasses three components (Lincubator, iCafe, and the Culture Studios) that work concurrently to achieve the Lincubator’s goals and objectives:
The Lincubator
The Lincubator is an innovation center for Lincoln students, faculty, and staff to receive practical knowledge about operating a business as well as developing business ideas and projects. Individuals will need to submit an application to use the Lincubator services and equipment. Those who are accepted into the Lincubator will become “Lincubates”, and will follow a curriculum to learn how to best use the 3D printer, graphic design programming, and the virtual reality equipment to enhance their new or existing business. The goal of the Lincubator is to help members of the Lincoln community to discover, innovate, and grow business endeavors.
iCafé
The iCafe will be managed and operated by Lincoln University students to sell snacks and beverages provided by external business partners, such as, RapSnacks, to the Lincoln University community. A profit-sharing method will be used to reinvest profits back to the iCafe to enhance production of services and to expand the network of external business partners.
The goal of the iCafe is for students to gain and/or enhance practical skills for operating a business, bookkeeping, sales, marketing, and management.
The Culture Studios
The Culture Studios consist of a pre-production and production studio located in the Student Union Building with industry standard equipment and professional specifications. The pre-production studio housed in Dickey Hall, 2nd floor, will allow students to create music and finish production in the full production studio housed in the Student Union Building. The Culture Studio will support student’s entrepreneurial efforts for music production and streaming.
