The Office of Male Achievement is hosting our 16th program of this semester which will be a Mental Health Fashion Show called “Feelin' Myself” on Wednesday October 17th from 12- 1 pm in the Cafeteria. The fashion show will have a large emphasis on suicide prevention, depression, eating disorders, bipolar disorder, and Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder. We are encouraging students representing different departments, organizations and sporting teams to participate as models. We will have one of our campus modeling organizations serve as modeling coaches in preparation for the fashion show. Each model will wear various colors associated with that specific cause. Models will walk holding various posters representing different statistics about that respective skit. Then they will flip the poster over to reflect a motivational message.
During the intermission, there will be a spoken word piece by a member of the Lincoln University Poetry Club. For those who attend, we plan to raffle off door prizes. During the fashion show intermission, we will have posters around the room with common problems faced by college students (homesickness, uncertainty of career direction, relationship issues, etc.) and students in the audience will get to walk around the room and write solutions under the issue on the various posters
