The Lincoln University Counseling Center located on the upper level of the Wellness Center is looking for an Intern to assist with the planning, organization, and implementation of their annual "Fresh Check" Event.


Fresh Check is a festive, celebratory, mental health resources event with a carnival-like atmosphere.  The goal of this event is to reduce stigma, and empower peers to understand warning signs and know what to do if a friend is exhibiting signs of suicide or a mental health concern.   Fresh Check is an awareness event that demonstrates coping strategies and identification of support resources for college students.   The “Fresh Check” event will include:

·         Interactive expo booths,

·         Peer to Peer messaging,

·         Food,

·         Entertainment,

·         Prizes and giveaways.

Interns would assist with planning, organizing, hosting and participating in this event.  Interested applicants should demonstrate the following skills and abilities:

·         Work effectively, efficiently, collaboratively and independently

·         Should have good organizational and time management skills

·         Maintain professionalism and adhere to professional protocol
